Last fall, I spent an evening with Ezer and Devin that I still find myself thinking about. It was one of those sessions that felt slow in the best way, unrushed, intentional, and grounded in connection. The kind of session that reminds me why I love documenting love stories the way I do.
The light that day was everything. Soft fall sun filtered through the trees, wrapping them in a warm glow that felt almost cinematic. It wasn’t harsh or dramatic, it was gentle, golden, and calm, creating space for real moments to unfold naturally. The lighting mirrored the energy of Ezer and Devin so perfectly: steady, peaceful, and deeply connected.
What stood out most wasn’t just how beautiful they looked together (though they truly are), but how present they were with one another. There was an ease between them , quiet laughs, subtle touches, shared glances that didn’t need direction. They simply existed together, and my job was to document what was already there.
That calmness carried through the entire session. No pressure. No rush. Just two people fully comfortable in their love, trusting the process, and allowing the moment to be what it was. Those are always the sessions that create the most meaningful images , the ones you can feel long after the shutter clicks.
As I look ahead to documenting their wedding this fall, I can’t help but feel incredibly excited. If their engagement session was any indication, their wedding day will be filled with intention, emotion, and that same grounding calm that made this session so special. Ezer and Devin, I am beyond grateful to be the one trusted with telling your story and I cannot wait to do it all over again this fall.
